Happy Easter!

Dear Residents,

New contractors:
I hope that you are all well. We’ve been very busy this month – I’ve been consulting with Chisel residents currently managed by Three Boroughs, Pamela and Jordan have has been triple checking and working with residents on the rent increase, and we will shortly be launching our new Supported Housing scheme in Brighton, where Neil will be working with Stonewall Housing to welcome the new residents.

Our new contractors have also been carrying out a lot of repairs. We’re really pleased with both the cost and quality they’ve been delivering – so please welcome London and Kent Services, and Hertfordshire Quality Roofing who may attend your homes if you need to have any work done. Dean and Chanise are now post-inspecting all repairs to ensure that they are completed properly for you.

Would you like to join our Board?
Following the amazing contribution to CHISEL by Resident Board Member Joanna van der Meer, she has decided to stand down, which means we have a vacancy for a new Resident Board Member. You can find all the details on our website with the link below. There’s a real sense of drive at CHISEL now with the new board and team, and it’d be a great time to join us. I would personally like to thank Jo for making me feel so welcome when I joined CHISEL and wish her all the very best.

Life and Progress
We’ve also got the details of our new, free, Welfare, Counselling and Advice portal, Life and Progress on the website too:

Self -Builders Forum
The Self-Builders Forum was an insightful hour last week and thank you to everybody who came along. Sophie from Calford Seadon was able to outline the approach to the imminent Stock Condition Survey. We will be holding another Forum in early May, but please reach out to the team or I if you have any queries before then. The Forum is now open to any resident living in a self-built house, so we can have more of a knowledge exchange, and new residents can feel included and learn about this part of CHISEL’s amazing history.

Finally, it just remains for me to wish you a very Happy Easter, and I hope that you enjoy the Bank Holidays. We’ll be closed on the Bank Holidays and our Out of Hours service will be in place for any emergency repairs.

With my very best wishes,

Miles Lanham
